Home Coming Day 2025 – lovely atmosphere and dear reunions
Thank you all alumni, who returned to SSHL this past weekend to reunite with classmates, teachers and house parents!
Last Saturday we celebrated ‘Dekaden’ 2025 – a Home Coming Day that attracted 250 former students to visit Sigtuna and SSHL. This year, graduating students from 1955 and every five years until 2020 were invited.
The day started off with a meet and greet and rowing competition down by the lake, where our CEO/School Director Ms Sofia Kinberg held a welcome speech, together with representatives from the Alumni Association, Ms Caroline Lindahl, Chair and Ms Jeanette van Reis, Vice Chair (Föreningen Sigtunafördettingar).
Our guests gathered for a traditional korum on the Midgården stairs to sing the school songs. An inspirational speech filled with memories and anecdotes was held by Richard Bagge, graduate of 1970, House Herrgården.
The day ended with a fantastic dinner, prepared by the school’s own kitchen. The alumni gathered by order of class at long tables. Students from SSHL Music Association made a fantastic performance on stage.
