Sofia Kinberg new CEO/Head of School at SSHL

As previously announced, Carina Nilsson has chosen to leave the school and will be succeeded by Sofia Kinberg, appointed the new CEO and Head of School at SSHL starting this autumn.

Sofia Kinberg holds an MBA diploma in Business and Economics and is a certified Principal with extensive experience of business life together with working in schools in Sweden and abroad.

During the past six years Sofia has held the position of Principal of Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) in Sundbyberg. Before this, she was working as Marketing Director for Visit Sweden, as Agency Manager and Marketing Manager at Medborgarskolan as well as Management Trainee at Unilever.

With Sofia in her new role as CEO/Head of School we will strengthen the leadership of SSHL as a whole with the focus on developing our profile internationally and in Sweden.

– We are delighted that Sofia has taken on the task of leading the school into the future. In addition to her important experience as Principal, she also has experience of leading and developing different lines of business. In her role as CEO/head of school, Sofia will have overall responsibility for the entire day-to-day operations at SSHL and work closely with the board and the school’s management team, says Chair of the board Marie von Satzger.

A crucial task for our new CEO/Head of School is to ensure the continuity of the holistic experience offered as a boarding school. In addition to this to continue to provide an environment which is stimulating, safe and encouraging for every one who works, lives and studies at the school.

Sofia will take up her post in September. The board wishes to extend a warm welcome to our new CEO/Head of School and we wish her well in her future role.
